Chris Stewart Quintet   The Chris Stewart Quintet
Cannonball Jazz
Chris Stewart and Mike Fahn were inseparable as teens. In these studio sessios they team up with some of jazz's brightest up and coming stars. Recorded in 1980 at Dynasty Studios in Long Beach, California. A fairly low quality recording, but there are some priceless moments. Chris was ill for the sessions and sounds pretty bad, but these recordings remain available because everyone else is burning. On But Beautiful and Lover Man, there is a hint of what is to come. Pat a Tucci on the Back is a tune written by Tom Kubis for the session featuring John Patitucci on acoutic bass and Chris Stewart on the flute.
